Mark and I got the first coat in the dining room today, and while it was drying, we went out to pick up his saw and then stopped at Ace Hardware for some glue. By the time we got back, the paint was dry and ready for the second coat. I handled the painting while Mark worked on the molding, so by the end of the day, the painting was finished. I’ll still need a day or two to get everything cleaned up and organized again.

I told Mark I’d take him out to eat somewhere, so we went to Sakura’s. I decided to try their crab legs for the first time, and they were really good. While we were there, Keith and Debbie Richardson came in—they were celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary. I took a photo of them to mark the occasion.

Outside, the food stands were starting to pull in, and the carnival was set up. The Autumn Leaf Festival kicks off tomorrow.

In the baseball world, Seattle had a great finish and took a 3–2 lead in their series. The teams will be off Saturday before heading back to Toronto, where Seattle needs just one more win to reach their first-ever World Series. Meanwhile, the Dodgers completed a sweep of the Brewers. Shohei Ohtani was phenomenal—he pitched six scoreless innings, striking out 10. Oh by the way, he hit three home runs.

Also tonight, Jared, Missy, Hannah, and Brody went up to Old City to watch Hannah’s boyfriend, Landon Baker, play in his senior night game. Landon had a great evening—he caught a 42-yard pass on the opening drive and finished with four receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.
